Foods: Vegan, Vegetarian, Healthy white meat and seafood is available. Plus Raw salads, fruits, Fresh Juices, and Detox Fasting with juices and teas.
Flight Information:
As soon as your plans are clear, please provide us with your flight itinerary, including the name of the carrier, the flight number and the arrival in Chiang Mai. Tao Garden has a shuttle bus service from the Chiang Mai airport ($20 plus tip).
Please make your travel plans to arrive at the Tao Garden before January 6th (the retreat begins with dinner and an evening session) and depart on or after January 15th (check out time is at noon).
Health and Insurance:
In the unlikely event of problems requiring hospitalization, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance which includes health insurance. This should cover the cost of an emergency evacuation and repatriation to your home country. We are not responsible for expenses incurred as a result of health problems or from mishaps during the retreat. You can research this online but we have found that Travel Guard http://www.travelguard.com/quickquote/ a good option.
Please bring the following :
· Journal, pen, Large currency bills ($100 bill versus $20 dollar bills) will earn you value in Thai Bahts
· A pair of easily removable slip-on shoes for the meditation halls; jogging shoes (You'll do alot of walking)
· For women, a jade egg if you have one; there are eggs available for sale at the Tao Garden shop, Sunscreen, lip balm, wide brimmed hat are essential if you plan to swim or jog on the trails;
· A good insect repellent - citronella oil usually works well; long sleeves to cover arms in the pm. from mosquitos, Bring B Vitamin and begin to take 2 weeks befores to ward off the insects.
· Swimsuit; googles, workout gloves, swim cap
· Travel Documents: Valid passport is required. Please make a photocopy of the page on your passport with your photograph and number and bring it with you. It is very important to keep this copy separate from your passport. Tao Gardens address for immigration.
